ARCADIA, Iowa — A beef cattle forum will be held Jan. 23 at the American Legion Hall here

Registration will start at 8:30 a.m., and the program will start at 9 a.m. There is no fee, and lunch will be provided. Lunch will be served about 12:15 p.m., and the meeting should conclude about 3:30 p.m.

Stephen Pollard of the federal Environmental Protection Agency will discuss surveillance and regulatory issues. Dan Loy, director of the Iowa Beef Center, will discuss protein supplementation and cornstalk treatment.

Shane Ellis, a farm management specialist with Iowa State University Extension, will discuss the economic outlook.

Numerous sponsors from the animal health industry will offer information on their products and services, and Matt Deppe, CEO of the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, will provide an update.
