Five meet records and a close race for the team title Friday highlighted the fourth annual Millard North boys swimming and diving invitational.

Papillion-La Vista/Papillion-La Vista South edged Millard West 212-200 for the team title. Lincoln East outscored Norfolk 198-170 for third place.

Papio sophomore Luke Barr was in on four of those meet records. In his individual events, Barr won the 50 freestyle in 21.52 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 46.43.

He also swam a leg on Papio’s 200 medley relay  that won in 1:38.94. That time was nearly one second faster than the previous record set by the Monarchs two years ago.

Barr also anchored Papio’s 400 freestyle relay to victory in 3:16.31. That time debuts Papio at No. 4 on the season leaders chart. Mark Cavanaugh, Daniel Keller and Joe Ciriaco teamed with Barr for the 200 medley victory; Sam McElmeel joined Barr, Cavanaugh and Ciriaco on the 400 free relay.

Millard West’s Mateo Miceli and Norfolk’s Caleb Harthoorn were the other double gold medal winners. Miceli set a meet record in the 100 backstroke, winning in 52.71, and he also touched first in the 200 individual medley in 2:00.53.

Harthoorn swept the distance freestyle races, winning the 200 in 1:46.85 and the 500 in 4:53.98.
