All-Nebraska selections were on full display in Saturday’s Nebraska High School Soccer Senior Showcase.

Kearney’s Royce Austen scored the winner with seven minutes to play in the boys game, lifting his dark team to a 6-2 victory.

Austen, who this week was named the Nebraska Gatorade soccer player of the year, was joined by fellow All-Nebraska pick Isaiah Shaddick of Lincoln Southwest on the winning side. Shaddick also scored in the match.

Behind a pair of goals, Tyler Mase of Omaha Burke was named the MVP of the boys match.

Omaha Creighton Prep’s Duncan McGuire scored both goals for the team in white jerseys. McGuire was a first-team All-Nebraska selection for the second straight season.

Lincoln Southeast forward Cassie Nash scored as part of a 3-2 dark win in the girls match. Kaiya Alexander of York netted the winner late in the match. Gretna’s Morgan McLaughlin was named the MVP of the girls match.

The event replaced the Nebraska Shrine Soccer Classic and was played at Omaha Skutt.
