NAIA school Midland is the first to offer a scholarship to the 5-foot-9 point guard.

"My main goal right now is to be close to home," Ziemkiewicz said following the Storm's quarterfinal victory over Sidney. "I'm a big family person. I want to be close enough where I feel like I'm at college but also where I can go home and spend time with my family."

She's also received interest from Division I schools Columbia, Grand Canyon and Eastern Illinois. Division II UNK and Division III Austin College (Sherman, Texas) have been in contact as well. She plans on attending a camp this summer at Columbia.

"I don't have a preference of what level I want to play," she said. "I am just trying to keep my options open where I feel is the best fit no matter really where that is. I want to be able to know I belong once I visit a school and get to know the team."

Ziemkiewicz says her best attribute as a player is her ball-handling ability and getting her teammates open looks. She feels she has plenty to improve on as her high school career continues.

"I think a huge one is being able to shoot off the dribble. It is really hard for a lot of players," she said. "Catching and shooting is one thing, but being able to step back and shoot confidently and creating space is something I've been working on."
