Lincoln Pius X senior Austin Jablonski made a dream come true on Christmas Eve.
Jablonski announced his decision to walk on at Nebraska in a tweet Monday night.
“I chose Nebraska because this is home,” Jablonski said. “It has always been my dream to play for Nebraska, and especially with the upward trend Nebraska is on right now, it felt right.”
The quarterback finished with 1,807 passing yards and 20 touchdowns and added 592 yards and nine touchdowns rushing. He said he will play either receiver or tight end at NU.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Jablonski had an offer from UNK and interest from Central Missouri.
Jablonski is the 13th known member of Nebraska’s 2019 walk-on class.
A huge thank you to my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me become who I am today. I would also like to thank the schools that have offered for their time and consideration. That being said, I am proud to announce my commitment to the University of Nebraska! #HOMEGROWN pic.twitter.com/KPmxcZaPGv— Austin Jablonski (@jaboman22) December 25, 2018
