For awhile Friday night it would have been safe to say the first team to hit 25 points will win the game. York did a little better than that as they scored 28 and Seward just 21 in the Class B-4 District championship at Lincoln High School.

Grand Island Central Catholic found itself unable to shake its offensive woes as the Crusaders fell to Seward 57-25 in their matchup Saturday at the Heartland Hoops Classic.

After a rocky start to the semifinal game of the Central Conference Tournament Friday night against the Seward Bluejays at Northwest High School in Grand Island, the York Dukes stepped up their defense and rode the offense that it created in a 55-39 win.

Grand Island Northwest found itself unable to overcome its first half woes as it fell to Seward 57-50 Saturday night at Northwest High School.

The York Dukes dominated the upper weights on Thursday night and with three consecutive wins to close out the match, erased a 31-30 Seward lead en route to the 48-31 win over the Bluejays.
