Prep's Molacek swims at Junior Championships

IRVINE, Calif. — Omaha Creighton Prep senior Jacob Molacek swam in the championship finals of three events at the USA Swimming Junior National Championships in Irvine, Calif.

Swimming for the Greater Omaha Area Leopardsharks, Molacek finished sixth in the 100-meter freestyle (50.80) and 100 breaststroke (1:03.12). Molacek also finished seventh in the 50 free in 23.36.

In the 100 free and backstroke, Molacek had faster times – 50.60, 1:02.92 – respectively. He also finished 15th in the 200 individual medley (2:07.26, 2:05.26 prelims) and 18th in the 200 breaststroke (2:18.99).
