What appeared to be an evenly matched showdown between unbeaten teams on paper, was anything but, as No. 7 Mullen dominated Garden County 58-6 on Friday.

For the second week in a row, the Telegraph Game of the Week pits two high-powered rushing teams against each other. This time it’s Class D2’s No. 3 rushing attack, Mullen (3-0), against No. 12, Garden County (3-0), in a 7:30 p.m. kick on Friday in Mullen.

OSHKOSH — After having to rally in the final quarter for an eight-point win against Mullen just six weeks ago, the Garden County football team wasn’t about to look past the same Broncos squad in their first-round rematch of the Class D-2 state playoffs on Thursday night in Oshkosh.

When the 37th annual Sertoma 8-man All-Star Game kicks off this afternoon in Hastings, players from both the East and West squads will be looking to show off their individual skills one more time in a high school football game featuring many of the best 8-man senior players from across Nebraska.
