EXETER – A 29-10 second half scoring run by the Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves on Friday night secured their 53-25 win over the Cross County Cougars in girls CRC regular season action.

About mid-season the Cross County Cougar boys’ basketball season went into a nose dive losing six straight games.

The East Butler Tigers climbed one game above the .500 mark Tuesday night with a 49-40 win at Cross County in girls non-conference action. East Butler took a 15-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, never looked back.

The Cross County Cougars placed four players in double figures as they blasted the Palmer Tigers in boys non-conference action Tuesday night, 65-14.

The closest game on Saturday in opening round action at the Crossroads Conference girls basketball tournament at the York City Auditorium was the Shelby-RC Huskies by 17 over the Cross County Cougars.

The Twin River Titan girls got all they wanted from the Cougars of Cross County in the first period, but by the final horn Thursday night at Genoa the board showed a 16-point win for the home team, 43-27.
