The Pinnacle Bank Game of the Week features a matchup of Northeast Nebraska's top lower-class teams — Class C-2 No. 1 BRLD (11-1) vs. Class D-1 No. 5 Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family (11-2). Tip-off is 7 p.m. Monday.

BRLD has won eight straight games, all by at least 10 points. HLHF won its first seven games before dropping two of three around the New Year, but the Bulldogs carry a three-game winning streak into this one.

"HLHF is a good team that has won some good games this year," BRLD coach Cory Meyer said. "Their record speaks for itself."

HLHF features a balanced scoring attack led by senior Turner Beller at 9.8 points per game. Beller is also the team's leading rebounder (5.3).

Freshman Jason Sjuts is second on the team in scoring (9.5), followed by junior Tyler Sjuts (9.2), senior Ethan Hanzel (8.8) and junior Bret Hanis (8.6).

"They are pretty young. The thing that will be tough for us is their length," Meyer said. "We haven't faced a team that's as tall as HLHF is. It's going to be a good game, especially on the road."

No. 1 ranked BRLD has five starters who are sophomores or juniors.

Sophomores Dylan Beuter (12.5 points per game) and Lucas Vogt (10.5) are the team's two top scorers. Junior Jaxon Johnson is third (10.4), and juniors Darwin Snyder and Will Gatzemeyer average 8.0 points per game.

"We are coming off of our best stretch of basketball beating Wisner-Pilger, Neligh-Oakdale and Clearwater-Orchard all by double digits, and BRLD will be a tough test for us," HLHF coach Joe Hesse said. "Their collection of guards will be the best we see, and their big guys are athletic. We will have our hands full."
