Husker commit, Omaha Burke linebacker Nick Henrich to miss playing time due to knee injury

Eighteen of Omaha Burke linebacker Nick Henrich's 92 tackles this season have been for losses.

Nebraska linebacker pledge Nick Henrich of Omaha Burke, which is the top-ranked team in the state, will miss at least one game after a knee injury in last week’s game.

Burke coach Paul Limongi said Henrich was hurt as he blocked a punt in the Bulldogs’ 38-9 win over Millard North. The injury is believed to be to a posterior cruciate ligament in the knee and not an ACL, which normally requires longer recovery.

A returning All-Nebraska pick, Henrich is among Class A’s leading tacklers. Eighteen of his team-high 92 tackles have been for losses.

Rivals lists Henrich fifth nationally in the senior class for outside linebackers. Besides Nebraska, he had offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Florida, LSU and Oregon.
