Columbus Scotus at Wahoo Neumann, 7:30 p.m. Friday: Expect a full house for this game between the Nos. 1 and 2 teams in Class C-1. Scotus stayed undefeated and won the Centennial Conference tournament without meeting Neumann, which was unbeaten before losing to runner-up Hastings St. Cecilia in the semifinals.
Fremont at Norfolk, 7:30 p.m. Friday: Fremont has its second eight-game winning streak of a 16-1 season. The Tigers escaped last Saturday with a two-point win at Omaha North, where the Panthers lost a week earlier. Could be the Tigers’ best remaining test before districts and a probable 20-win season that would be a school first.
Millard West at Omaha Westside, 7:15 p.m. Monday: Tuesday’s storm caused this game to be rescheduled to a rare Monday date for a Metro Conference game. Millard West had a pair of double-digit losses last week and faces Lincoln Pius X and Norfolk this weekend before tackling the Warriors, who have only a single game on the weekend.
Millard West at Lincoln Pius X, 6 p.m. Friday: The Wildcats need to get back on track after losing twice last week. The Thunderbolts have a tough weekend, following up Friday night’s game with a road contest Saturday against Millard North.
Aurora at Waverly, 6 p.m. Friday: The Huskies are playing well for first-year coach Sara Partington and are coming off a win over York in the Central 10 Conference tourney final. Defensive-minded Vikings (11-4) are tough at home.
Hastings at Omaha Skutt, 6:30 p.m. Saturday: The Tigers saw their seven-game win streak snapped last week in a loss at Columbus. The SkyHawks have won eight of nine and are playing some of their best basketball.
