Papillion-La Vista at Millard West, 7:15 p.m. Friday: Papio could be walking into a hornet’s nest. The Wildcats beat then-No. 2 Millard South 70-57 at home last week to get ranked in Class A (No. 9), and now face the No. 3 Monarchs. Still a sophomore, Papio’s Ed Chang got offers this week from Creighton and Nebraska.

Omaha South at Millard South, 7:15 p.m. Friday: The past two meetings, Millard South made the Packers sweat before they escaped with 51-48 and 55-51 wins. Do the Patriots have another game in them against the state’s top-ranked team that’s the last unbeaten in Class A?

Norfolk at Omaha Westside, 6:15 p.m. Saturday: Last year in Westside’s gym, Norfolk outshot Westside 69-59 percent and won 81-69. The Warriors will be coming off Friday night’s game with rival Omaha Creighton Prep.

Omaha Northwest at Millard North, 5:30 p.m. Friday: The Huskies (7-3) haven’t been to state in 35 years, but this team has a shot to return to Lincoln. The Mustangs (7-3) will present a challenge, though they’ve lost their past two games.

Millard South at Elkhorn South, 2 p.m. Saturday: The Patriots appear back on track after losing for the second time to top-ranked Millard West. The Class B Storm are 3-1 against Class A teams, including last week’s win over Papillion-La Vista South.

Millard West at Bellevue West, 5:30 p.m. Saturday: These two ranked Class A foes met in the Metro holiday tournament, with the Wildcats prevailing 58-54. The Thunderbirds play at North Platte on Friday night, so we’ll see how road-weary they are.
