Papillion-La Vista at Omaha Creighton Prep, 7:15 p.m. Friday: Prep gave the Monarchs their first loss, beating them 77-64 in the Metro Conference holiday semifinals. Now, as then, Prep is ranked No. 2. Papillion is third after stunning Millard South with a last-minute rally in regulation, then winning by seven in overtime.
Omaha Central at Norfolk, 6:15 p.m. Saturday: Central has the athleticism that has bugged the Panthers, who have beaten only one of their six Metro Conference opponents. Look inside for a good matchup of big men, Logan Strom of Norfolk and Isaiah Poor Bear-Chandler of Central.
Wahoo vs. Boys Town, C1-5 subdistrict semifinal, 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Omaha Roncalli: Wahoo enters this weekend on an 11-game winning streak after a 3-8 start and has secured a state-record 32nd consecutive winning season. Boys Town (12-9) has Teddy Allen, the midyear newcomer who’s averaging 25 points a game.

Omaha Westside at Bellevue West, 5:30 p.m. Friday: The Class A district schedules are set, but teams are still jockeying for wild-card points and want to maintain momentum heading into the postseason. The No. 3 Thunderbirds handed the No. 5 Warriors their worst loss of the season at the Metro Conference holiday tournament, winning by 17.
Lincoln Pius X at Platteview, 6 p.m. Friday: It’s starting to get serious whether the 21-0 Trojans — the only undefeated girls team left in the state — might be able to run the table this season. Their final regular-season hurdle is the Class B defending state champion Thunderbolts, who have moved up to Class A this year.
Bellevue West at Elkhorn South, 5:30 p.m. Saturday: The Thunderbirds will need to be sharp the night after their big home game against Westside. The Class B No. 2 Storm beefed up their schedule in preparation for a move to the Metro Conference in the future, and Bellevue West’s quickness will present a major challenge here.
