Class C-1: Ogallala rallies to defeat Milford, win first state tournament game since 1992

Ogallala celebrates its comeback victory over Milford in the Class C-1 state tournament’s opening round at the Devaney Center.

Ogallala has escaped defeat before this season, and it had to do it again at the Devaney Center on Thursday.

After trailing by eight through the first 28 minutes, a pair of Clayton Murphy steals punctuated a 9-0 run with less than 29 seconds left to help the Indians (27-0) end their 27-year skid in Lincoln.

Murphy scored five of his 10 points in the final minute and Carter Brown had 22 points. Cameron Raffaeli finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots.

The trio scored 17 of the team’s 19 points in the fourth quarter.
