An Omaha company has sold a portion of its interest in a Kansas ethanol plant, acquiring an operating partner to renovate and operate the plant.

Scoular Co. remains a part-owner, but announced that it has sold part of its interest in Pratt Energy, LLC, to Pratt Biofuel Investors, LLC. Terms were not disclosed.

Scoular acquired the plant and adjoining 1.8 million bushel shuttle facility in 2011 and has operated the grain facility while seeking a partner for the ethanol plant.
