A local landowner who tried and failed to host a Costco chicken processing plant near Nickerson, Nebraska, is back with another proposal for some of his land.

Omaha-area farmer Lee Camenzind has applied to build and operate a 10-barn chicken-raising complex roughly a mile west of where his family wanted to put the plant.

The proposal goes before the Dodge County Planning Commission today at the Dodge County Courthouse. A vote is scheduled Wednesday with the Dodge County Board.
