Individuals and business operators who have questions or want information about the Affordable Care Act can attend meetings over the next several weeks held by the Nebraska Department of Insurance.

Insurance Director Bruce Ramge said open enrollment for 2016 health insurance policies on the law’s public marketplace will be Nov. 1 to Jan. 31.

The department is holding a series of meetings where officials will give updated information on the law’s health insurance plans, including rates for 2016, requirements of the law, changes in small-group plans and new insurance options.

The next meetings:

Tuesday: Mid-Plains Community College, Ogallala, noon to 1 p.m., and North Platte Public Library, 7 to 8 p.m.

Wednesday: Broken Bow Public Library, noon to 1 p.m., and Kearney Public Library, 7 to 8 p.m.

Thursday: Holdrege Area Public Library, noon to 1 p.m., and Grand Island Doane Campus, College Park Building, 7 to 8 p.m.
