Dog-themed restaurant, arcade coming to Bellevue

Bogie, the chocolate Lab, and Birdie, the yellow Lab, are the namesakes of B&B Classic Dogs, which will open in Bellevue in September.

A dog-themed restaurant and arcade is coming to Bellevue.

B&B Classic Dogs, owned by Diane Bruce and Jerry Charvat, will open by the end of September at 1020 Lincoln Road, a spot formerly occupied by Dicobe Media, Bruce said. Named after Charvat's and Bruce's Labrador retrievers, Birdie and Bogie, the restaurant will serve hot dogs from across the nation - Chicago, Seattle, and Carolina dogs, to name a few - along with their own creation, the barbecue dog and sandwiches, soups, salads and burgers. About 1,100 square feet will be set aside for arcade games.

“This will be something unique for us but also something that people can do locally with their families,” Bruce said.

The restaurant, which will be open for lunch and dinner, is currently renovating its space and plans to hire a general manager, assistant manager and about 14 part-time employees.

Bruce described the restaurant as family friendly, but said it will include a “sanity room” where customers can get away, have a beer and watch sports.
