First Nebraska Credit Union has broken ground on a new Elkhorn branch that will feature an interactive teller machine — an ITM.

The credit union had a groundbreaking Thursday with the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce for the new building at 20241 Manderson St., near 204th and Maple.

The ITM provides service in the drivethru beyond a typical ATM, credit union officials said. During business hours, for example, customers can speak with a credit union representative via video conferencing.

The new Elkhorn branch will be the sixth, with three in Omaha and two in Lincoln. Rogge General Contractors is the general contractor for the project.
