Allegiant airline announced Tuesday that service from Omaha’s Eppley Airfield to Fort Myers-Punta Gorda, Florida, will begin Nov. 14.

The service to Florida will operate through the Punta Gorda airport, officials said. Punta Gorda is just north of Fort Myers.

To mark the new service, Allegiant said it will offer one-way fares on the new route for $49. Flights must be purchased at Allegiantair.com by Aug. 22 for travel by Feb. 28, 2019.

The new flights will operate twice weekly, officials said.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant will now serve five cities from Eppley Airfield.
