Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas, boys and girls!

Momaha snagged a few special moments with Santa before he gets too busy with the holiday season. We asked him to share his 5 most treasured items, and here’s what he had to say:

5. Mrs. Claus’ hot chocolate.

“No matter how many cookies I eat, Mrs. Claus’ hot chocolate is the best when I come home from delivering gifts. It gets cold in that sleigh!”

4. Making up the “nice” list!

“I get to see the really wonderful things children do and the many ways their moms and dads have of being great parents.”

3. Working with the elves.

“The elves love what they do and work very hard. I have to say, though, when they pull out their pillow pets to take naps, they snore something awful!”

2. COOKIES!!! TREATS!!!

“I am Santa, so I have to be honest — I love to eat the cookies and treats people leave out for me. This gets me into all kinds of trouble with Mrs. Claus but I just can’t stop myself!”

1. My most favorite thing is getting to be part of the Christmas season.

“Christmas is the best time of the year when people remember to be kind and generous with friends, family, and especially to those who are less fortunate. I am so happy to be part of that!”

Join us for “Saturday with Santa,” a special momaha play date this weekend at Santa’s Workshop at Shadow Lake Towne Center. Momaha families will enjoy a story hour with me and Mrs. Claus, cookie decorating, craft activities and photos this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Inside Santa’s Workshop, we are collecting peanut butter and jelly for the Sarpy County Holiday Assistance Program. Please bring a plastic jar of the delicious treat if you can.
