Beer and food trucks are coming back to the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium this summer.

Late Nights at the Zoo, an adults-only event with beer, food and animals, debuted last summer to huge crowds and long beer lines. The popular summer event will be held on several Thursdays this summer, including May 23.

Each event will be held from 7 to 11 p.m., with future dates planned for June 27, July 25, Aug. 8, Aug. 22 and Sept. 19. The event is restricted to those age 21 and older.

General admission tickets cost $15 for zoo members and $25 for non-members and include a complimentary drink ticket and access to many zoo exhibits, food trucks and staff-led animal encounters.

Tickets are available in advance for a $5 discount at omahazoo.com/special-events.

According to the zoo, proceeds will benefit animal health, wellness and enrichment programs and will also help fund conservation efforts around the world.
