The Hollywood Foreign Press Association holds its annual gala, recognizing achievement in movies and television. Mostly it is a more free-wheeling version of the Oscars with booze. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey host the party.

“Once Upon a Time” 7 p.m., ABC (New)

Mr. Gold wants to search for Bae, so he tests a new spell on a reluctant guinea pig.

“Revenge” 8 p.m. to 9:01 p.m., ABC (New)

Emily and Aiden stage their next scheme at a fundraiser and wine auction while the Porters come to grips with what the future holds for them.

“Masterpiece Classic” 8 p.m., PBS (New)

“Downton Abbey” continues, with the future of the abbey resting on a letter written by Lavinia’s late father to Matthew. Also, Thomas feeds false information about O’Brien to Molesley.

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” 8 p.m., TLC (New)

Mama June plans a simple and inexpensive Thanksgiving dinner for the family’s biggest meal of the year.

“Girls” 8 p.m., HBO (New, season premiere)

Hanna throws a party with her new roommate, Elijah, and is ready to move on in her romantic life, despite still tending to a needy Adam and his broken leg.

“Enlightened” 8:30 p.m., HBO (New, season premiere)

Fearing her job is about to be eliminated, Amy contacts an investigative reporter to expose some incriminating emails.

“The Mentalist” 9 p.m., CBS (New)

The team investigates a geologist’s homicide, which Lisbon believes is linked to Tommy Volker and therefore can lead to his downfall.

“Iron Man 2” 9:30 p.m. to midnight, FX (2010)

Because of his superhero alter ego, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) must contend with deadly issues involving the government, his own friends and new enemies (Mickey Rourke).
