LYNCH — The Lynn Theatre will have a special guest on Friday, the opening night of “The Lone Ranger” movie.

Shane Johnson of Verdigre and a few members of the re-enactors of the 4th U.S. Cavalry Troop will be at the theater at 7 p.m. to greet moviegoers. At 7:30 p.m., Johnson will give a short talk on their experiences in the making of the recently released movie that stars Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.

Johnson, the troop's co-commander, became involved in historical re-enacting in 1997, a year before he graduated from the Verdigre High School. His interest started with the period around the Civil War and expanded to other time periods.

The film will be in Lynch through Monday.
