KEARNEY — A Bridgeport woman was listed in fair condition Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney after being hit by a car while jogging Tuesday.

At 7:46 a.m. Tuesday, Emily Baxter, 18, of Bridgeport, was jogging west on the hike-bike trail at 30th Avenue in west Kearney as  a vehicle was traveling south on 30th Avenue, said a Kearney Police Department accident report.

The vehicle, a 2008 BMW, driven by Olivia Owen, 16, of Kearney, in the outside lane of traffic continued south and hit Baxter as she was in the crosswalk, according to the report.

Baxter was transported to the hospital, and Owen was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way. Owen was restrained at the time of the crash.

No other injuries were reported.
