COUNCIL BLUFFS – Hundreds of green-clad dashers take off from the starting line on the historic 100 block during the annual Shamrock Shuffle 5k fun run and walk in downtown Council Bluffs on Saturday.

Bluffs Downtown Events Coordinator Donna Schoeppner said that more than 425 people participated in the run and walk, which raised money to support the Teammates Mentoring Program. The event also included a pre-run yoga stretch class and an awards ceremony for the race winners and best-dressed runners.
