Orangetheory Fitness is adding more local studios.

The fitness studio, which offers group circuit-style classes, has two Omaha locations. A third will open on North 78th Street near West Dodge Road in October.

“We just thought it was a great central location,” said Anne Kennedy, franchise co-owner. “Everything seemed to fit.”

During Orangetheory classes, a trainer leads about 24 people through high-intensity workouts that alternate among treadmills, rowing machines and strength areas. Participants wear heart monitors to track their efforts.

Kennedy said a Lincoln location is expected to open by the end of the year, and a Papillion studio is set to open in early 2018. A downtown Omaha location is also in the works.

Existing Omaha locations are at 16909 Burke St., Suite 122, and at 14450 Eagle Run Drive.
