Sports Illustrated unveiled three covers for its Swimsuit Edition on Saturday night, revealing that Lincoln native and plus-size model Ashley Graham scored one of the coveted spots.

The magazine named the plus-size model one of its “rookies” last week.

The other two cover stars are UFC champion Ronda Rousey and model Hailey Clauson.

"Ashley Graham is a sultry, feminine masterpiece. I dare you not to stare at her,” Sports Illustrated Assistant Managing Editor MJ Day told the magazine. “Ashley commands your attention in her photographs. She owns her sexiness in a way that every woman should. Her confidence is contagious."

Graham celebrated her cover with a post on Instagram.

“This cover is for every woman who felt like she wasn't beautiful enough because of her size,” she wrote. “You can do and achieve anything you put your mind to.”

Copies of the Swimsuit Edition will hit newsstands Monday, according to Sports Illustrated.

Graham made national headlines for appearing in an ad in the magazine last year.

She started modeling in 2000 when she was discovered at Oak View Mall in Omaha at age 12. She's best known for her work as a lingerie model for Lane Bryant.
