LINCOLN — The Nebraska track and field team continued its success in the Adidas Classic, sweeping both titles for the fifth consecutive year on the Devaney Center track.

The Husker women logged 207 points to runner-up Wichita State’s 100. The men also routed the competition with 205.33 points, 94.33 more than second-place Iowa.

Nebraska’s 19 event titles included multiple wins from Jessica Furlan, Janis Leitis and Mara Weekes.

Also for NU, Mara Griva got her first event title of the year in the long jump (19-7); Chad Wright won the shot put and put himself into third in the nation with a throw of 61-6¼; Tess Merrill won her first collegiate title with a 12-8¼ mark in the pole vault; and Oladapo Akinmoladun recorded a Big Ten-best 7.83 in the 60 meters.
