COLUMBUS, Ohio — No. 11 Ohio State won the final match of the day to pull out a 21-17 dual victory over No. 7 Nebraska Sunday afternoon.

Nebraska won back-to-back matches to even the dual at 17-17. But in the heavyweight match, Ohio State’s Kyle Snyder, who was the national runner-up at 197 last season and recently decided to forgo a redshirt season, made his season debut with a 20-9 major decision over 17th-ranked Collin Jensen as give the Buckeyes the win.

Ohio State won four of the first five matches to take a 14-5 lead — Nebraska’s lone win in that stretch was a technical fall by Jake Sueflohn at 149 pounds. After NU’s Austin Wilson won by forfeit at 165, TJ Dudley (184) and Aaron Studebaker (197) won decisions to even the dual, setting up Snyder’s victorious return.

Nebraska also lost tight matches at 157 and 174. Tyler Berger (157) led 1-0 after two periods before falling in a tiebreaker to 12th-ranked Jake Ryan, and at 174, Micah Barnes trailed 4-2 after two periods before losing 7-4.

The Huskers, who lost 24-10 to No. 1 Penn State Friday, host No. 2 Iowa at at 2 p.m. next Sunday at the Devaney Center.
