Cameron Brown: St. Louis Christian Brothers College (Mo.) hit the ground running, opening its season with a 69-28 victory over Miller Career Academy.

Mario Goodrich: Mario Goodrich and Lee's Summit West (Mo.) struggled in the season opener, losing 43-7 to Blue Springs. The Kansas City Star published a feature story discussing how Goodrich will continue to be a two-way star for Lee's Summit despite being projected as a defensive back in college.

Joshua Moore and Brendan Radley-Hiles: IMG Academy (Fla.) opened its season with a 41-22 victory over Carol City.

Will Farniok: The offensive lineman and Sioux Falls Washington (S.D.) will open the season against Brandon Valley on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Cameron Jurgens: Beatrice begins its season at home Friday against Ralston.

Masry Mapieu: The defensive lineman and York kick off the year on the road against defending Class B champion Elkhorn South.

Barret Pickering: The future Nebraska kicker and Hoover (Ala.) begin the season Friday against Grayson.

Tate Wildeman: Legend (Colo.) High School opens its season Sept. 1 against Ponderosa.

Chase Williams: Corona Roosevelt (Calif.) travels to Eisenhower to open the season Sept. 1.
