Quayshon Alexander

Quayshon Alexander missed the 2018 football season while recovering from shoulder surgery.

A second outside linebacker in as many days is transferring from the NU football program.

A source with knowledge of the decision confirmed that junior Quayshon Alexander is leaving Nebraska. Alexander missed 2018 while recovering from shoulder surgery. He appeared in the spring game earlier this month — making a game-high seven tackles — and spoke to reporters afterward.

Alexander was part of NU’s 2016 recruiting class. A high three-star recruit, Alexander picked the Huskers over hometown Rutgers and Michigan. His brother, Kiy Hester, has a chance to be picked in NFL draft this weekend.

NU now has eight scholarship outside linebackers on the roster, one of whom is a hybrid safety in JoJo Domann.
