The Nebraska football team published another entry in its (somewhat promotional) YouTube series, “Inside the Film Room.” The latest video, titled “The Choice,” centers on the how current Huskers made their decision to play for NU.

“I was a young kid,” junior cornerback Josh Mitchell said. “When I came here and I saw the tradition, the academics, and I saw the game atmosphere — which was the big thing — I had to commit on that recruiting trip.”

In-state players didn’t need the introduction to the program, according to senior C.J. Zimmerer.

“All I ever wanted to do was be Husker,” the fullback out of Omaha Gross said.

Senior quarterback Taylor Martinez, whose brother Drake Martinez is a member of the Huskers’ 2013 recruiting class, said the fans are among a list of several draws.

“I fell in love with the city, the campus at Nebraska. It’s beautiful,” Martinez said. “Just the fan base and everything like that.”

Other players interviewed include I-backs Imani Cross, a sophomore, and junior Ameer Abdullah as well as junior receiver Kenny Bell.
