Former Nebraska quarterback Scott Frost is one of several Oregon coaches who has benefited from working under Chip Kelly. Now it appears Frost will benefit by Kelly’s departure to the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to the Eugene Register-Guard, Frost — the Ducks’ wide receivers coach — will be promoted to offensive coordinator once the current Oregon OC, Mark Helfrich ascends to the head coaching position. It’s a meteoric coaching rise for Frost, 38, who quarterbacked NU’s last national title team. Frost has only been a full-time coach since 2007. He’ll now reportedly coordinate one of the nation’s flashiest offenses, though it’s believed Helfrich will take playcalling duties from the departed Kelly.
