Iowa Western defensive lineman Perrion Winfrey, one of the nation's top 2020 junior college recruits, announced on Wednesday his verbal commitment to Oklahoma. Winfrey's announcement follows a visit to OU.

Winfrey also had offers from LSU, Alabama, Oregon and Nebraska, among others. The Huskers were able to snag Winfrey for a visit to Lincoln — Husker coaches previous to Scott Frost had struggled to build relationships with IWCC prospects — and remain in the hunt for Reiver offensive tackle Jacob Gamble, who has NU in his top six.

Nebraska still has plenty of irons in the fire for defensive line prospects in 2020.
