247 Sports on Wednesday released its initial Top 100 for the 2018 recruiting class — that's players starting their sophomore seasons in high school — and Beatrice tight end Cameron Jurgens landed at No. 46.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder is one of the youngest players — and perhaps the youngest — to have a scholarship offer from Nebraska. Jurgens received that offer after a standout performance at Nebraska's Friday Night Lights event.

Jurgens is also one of 15 prospects inside the Top 100 who lives in a Big Ten football state. Ohio and Maryland both have four prospects; New Jersey has two; Illinois has two; and Michigan, Indiana and Pennsylvania each have one.
