It’s apparently not too soon for the first preseason All-American team for 2011, and the start of attention for Nebraska defensive tackle Jared Crick and linebacker Lavonte David.

The team posted on the website includes both of the Husker seniors-to-be. Interesting to see, however, that NU cornerback Alfonzo Dennard did not make the first, second or third teams, getting only honorable mention along with defensive end Cameron Meredith.

Only two other Big Ten players were first-team picks on the All-American team — offensive linemen David Molk of Michigan and Mike Brewster of Ohio State.

Defensive back Shaun Prater of Iowa is among four Big Ten players receiving second-team recognition. Missouri offensive lineman Dan Hoch, a one-time Nebraska commit, is a third-team pick.
