The Nebraska women’s basketball team has its first game scheduled for next season — and it will come against a marquee opponent.

The Huskers will host Duke in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 4 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

It will be the third meeting between the Huskers and Blue Devils and the first since 2014, when NU won 60-54 in a Big Ten/ACC Challenge matchup in Lincoln.

Duke won the first meeting 53-45 in a 2013 NCAA tournament Sweet 16 game.

Nebraska finished 14-16 overall and 9-9 in the Big Ten last season and returns all but one player from its 2018-19 roster.

The Blue Devils, who went 15-15 (6-10 ACC) last season, bring back three double-digit scorers, including All-ACC guard Haley Gorecki, who averaged 17.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.6 steals.
