Justin Costello

Costello is the second in-state departure this week.

LINCOLN — Former Elkhorn South guard Justin Costello is transferring from Nebraska, a source told The World-Herald.

Costello — a redshirt freshman from Omaha — put his name in the transfer portal this week, and is no longer listed on Nebraska's roster online.

Costello has previously visited UNK.

In two years at Nebraska, Costello played sparingly. He appeared in 10 games last season, scoring nine total points.

Costello is the second in-state player to leave the program this week. Freshman Brady Heiman was asked to leave the program on Wednesday, and has put his name in the transfer portal.

Nebraska currently has two open scholarships.
