Former Husker Thomas Allen transfers to North Carolina State

Thomas Allen averaged 8.7 points, two assists and 1.3 steals per game this season for the Huskers.

Former Nebraska guard Thomas Allen announced on Twitter Friday that he will transfer to North Carolina State.

Allen put his name in the transfer portal March 27, one day after former coach Tim Miles was fired by NU.

The sophomore from Raleigh, North Carolina, initially signed with the Wolfpack in high school, but requested and was granted his release after coach Mark Gottfried was fired.

The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 8.7 points, two assists and 1.3 steals this season for the Huskers. He injured an ankle in a Feb. 28 loss to Michigan and didn’t play the rest of the season.
