SEEN AT PRACTICE TUESDAY

» Maliek Collins, dominating on three run plays in different periods, knifing into the backfield.

» Ryker Fyfe working with the No. 2 offense for all of practice. He had his moments, including a long pass to Stanley Morgan during a scrimmage.

» Drops by Brandon Reilly and Jamal Turner during the practice. Neither was as sharp as Morgan.

» Mick Stoltenberg notching a sack during the scrimmage and winning two one-on-one battles with offensive linemen during drills. He’s on the rise.

» The Ashland-Greenwood football team making a visit to camp.

» NFL scouts from the Lions and Browns.

» A nifty, excellent run from Mikale Wilbon during the scrimmage, including a stiff-arm of safety Kieron Williams.

» Aside from a drop, a strong day from Alonzo Moore. The scrimmage ended on a nice catch and run from him, and he had a few strong blocks.

» Josh Kalu as the nickel back when Nebraska lined up in that formation.

» Several options at kick returner, including Reilly, Jordan Stevenson and Terrell Newby.

» Another good day at kicker for Drew Brown, and not quite as good for Jamie Sutcliffe.

» Receivers coach Keith Williams huddling with his players after the rest of the team was dismissed from practice. The bonus session lasted approximately 15 minutes.

» Pretty good pass protection from the offensive line Tuesday, though the throws were all pretty quick and Stoltenberg did notch a sack.

» Zack Darlington’s perfectly thrown ball — lofted over the defender and into the hands of true freshman tight end Matt Snyder — for a decent gain on a corner route.

» Redshirt freshman Sedrick King blowing up an outside run attempt.

» A near-pick by Kalu. He had it in his hands! But Turner ripped it away for a catch.

» The first pass from Tommy Armstrong during 7-on-7 drills was a bullet, darting right past three converging defenders into Jamal Turner’s chest.

» AJ Bush making the night’s best pure throw, a hard roll to his right and on-target pass to a walk-on. Hard pass for a lefty to make.

» Former Huskers Russ Hochstein and Loran Kaiser visiting with Milt Tenopir, Hochstein’s old offensive line coach.
