Your phone buzzes with a text from an old friend.
Maybe they live in a Midwestern city a drivable distance away. Maybe they’re looking to fly in from the coast. Either way, they tell you, they’ve got a free weekend, and they’re thinking of heading to Omaha for a visit.
So, now you’re tasked with coming up with a weekend of activities. There are some obvious stops — the zoo, a stroll across the pedestrian bridge.
But let’s face it — at some point, you’re going to want a place to hang out, grab a bite or have a drink. Preferably somewhere memorable, somewhere with a bit more atmosphere than your standard neighborhood watering hole.
So, we’ve picked a handful of places with their own distinctive flavor that your visiting pals will tell their friends about when they head home.
