I already saw some of the biggest artists at the festival, watched an entire day of Nebraska music and witnessed some of the best performances I’ve seen in awhile. But artists such as Jenny Lewis, Waxahatchee, Diet Cig, Neon Indian and Big Thief had eluded me, and I hoped to also catch The Roots. Read more

A blend of musicians, venue owners, bookers, media and friends filled the small rooftop venue where Nebraska Exposed, a free showcase featuring eight bands from Omaha and Lincoln, was set to kickoff. Meanwhile, groups including Omaha hip-hop duo Both, Lincoln rock band Freakabout and Lincoln rock/R&B band AZP brought in a lot of unfamiliar faces, too. Read more

Tuesday at the South by Southwest festival was a mix of rock shows, thousands of St. Patrick’s Day partygoers, SXSW Interactive attendees getting in one last night of fun and plenty of good old Austin weirdness. Read more
