Jazz on the Green

Jazz on the Green returns to Midtown Crossing on July 11.

Omaha Performing Arts has announced the groups that will perform for Jazz on the Green from July 11 to Aug. 15 at Turner Park in Midtown Crossing. Each concert is free.

The lineup:

July 11: Big Sam’s Funky Nation

July 18: Pinettes Brass Band

July 25: Paa Kow and his Afro-Fusion Orchestra

Aug. 1: Big Wade and Black Swan Theory

Aug. 8: Marcos & Sabor

Aug. 15: Darcy Malone and the Tangle

Students from Omaha’s youth artist development program, BluesEd, will offer pre-show entertainment for selected performances. Other pre-show performers include University of Nebraska at Omaha jazz musicians. A full list of opening performers will be announced soon.
