Member of Genesis to partner with Omaha Symphony

Unique renditions of the greatest hits by Genesis will fill the Holland Performing Arts Center this weekend.

Genesis touring member Daryl Stuermer, equipped with his guitar and five-piece band, will join the Omaha Symphony for 8 p.m. performances on Friday and Saturday.

The performance, conducted by Michael Kamenski, will feature vocalist Woody Mankowski on songs including “Invisible Touch,” “I Can’t Dance,” “No Son of Mine” and “Throwing it all Away.”

Stuermer recently added collaborations with symphonys to his band’s regular performances. Omaha Symphony is one of the first to partner with him.

The performances are part of the Symphony Rocks series, sponsored by First National Bank and Woodmen of the World.

Tickets, $25 to $75, can be purchased by calling 402-345-0606, online at or at the Holland Center box office located at 13th and Douglas Streets. Student tickets are also available for $10 with a valid student ID.
