Author and illustrator Dan Yaccarino will be featured in a new exhibit at the Joslyn Art Museum opening Saturday and running through April 14.

The exhibit, The Fantastic World of Dan Yaccarino, will feature approximately 70 paintings by the artist from 14 children’s picture books he has created since 1997, including “Unlovable,” “The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau,” “Five Little Pumpkins” and “All the Way to America.” It will also feature artworks from “Every Friday,” “Lawn to Lawn,” “Mother Goose,” “Trashy Town,” “Who Will Sing a Lullaby?” and others.

As part of the exhibit, Yaccarino will be at the Joslyn on April 13 for a free public presentation and to participate in Joslyn’s Saturday Surprise! program from 10 a.m. to noon.

He will be giving a free presentation in the Abbott Lecture Hall at 10:30 a.m. and hands-on activities will take place all morning.
