I've read a lot lately about how brunch is "so over." May I heartily disagree?

If you're in the mood for brunch this weekend  and let's face it, I'm in the mood for brunch every weekend  may I suggest you check out Le Bouillon, in the Old Market.

Dishes we tried last weekend included the above Bouillon breakfast, easily enough for one woman post-four mile run, the toast with a lovely bean spread and beautiful charred cherry tomatoes, the eggs in a basket and two cups of strong, rich coffee.

If you know what's good for you and are feeling particularly indulgent, order the pastry basket, which I resisted last weekend but falls solidly into my "worth the calories" category.

And that's it. Short, sweet and delicious, just like brunch is supposed to be. Don't forget to bring your pile of newspapers.
