Le Bouillon, in the Old Market, has plans to start serving lunch in February. The restaurant will employ displaced staff from M’s Pub during its new hours and will also donate part of its proceeds during February to those affected by the Jan. 9 fire in the Old Market.
Le Bouillon’s Paul Kulik said that in the wake of the destruction of M’s Pub and the damage to the Market House — two Old Market restaurants that served lunch — he decided to expand his restaurant’s hours.
“I believe it’s our job as business owners to keep the Old Market thriving,” he said.
The new lunch menu will feature both the burger and cassoulet from the Le Bouillon dinner menu, along with some new French comfort food dishes Kulik has not served before, including quiche, French onion soup, steak frites and a croque monsieur sandwich.
Le Bouillon’s new hours will begin Feb. 2. The restaurant will be open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It will continue Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The restaurant is at 1017 Howard St. For more information, call 402-502-6816.
