The original location of Hiro 88, near 132nd Street and West Maple Road, will temporarily close for remodeling. The restaurant’s owners also have plans for a new location in Millard, at 17664 Welch Plaza.

The northwest Omaha location will be closed for three to four months starting March 22, co-owner Charlie Yin said. The last day of service before the temporary closure is March 21. The restaurant opened 13 years ago, and it will get a new look similar to the other locations of Hiro, as well as kitchen and dining room upgrades.

The Millard location will open April 1 with some special events, Yin said.

During the construction at West Maple Road, the staff will temporarily move to the restaurant’s Millard location.
